Not only was it some A-class acting from Eddie but also scary as hell. Tughan going ape-shit during an interrogation. There’s a second helping of DI Tughan in Scaredycat, which we’ll be reviewing soon. However, watching Eddie beat guys up in interview rooms and swear a lot is well worth it. In fact, he was SO gorgeous, he even commented on it himself:Īn interesting thing about watching this was one of us read the books and had prior knowledge of Tughan’s character, (trust us, he’s way creepier in the book.) It reads well as a story but perhaps doesn’t transfer too well to TV. Despite Thorne’s slightly inconsistent story line and overuse of post-production glow effects on flashback scenes, it’s a lovely dose of Eddie wearing plenty of well-tailored suits and looking, well… pretty damn gorgeous to be honest. He wants results and wants them fast, not caring if he tramples on Thorne’s toes in the process. Although Tughan is out to get the same result as Thorne (catch the killer before he kills again) he plays the typical character who doesn’t believe there’s more to a killer than just killing.

Eddie plays jobsworth Detective Inspector Kevin Tughan, a “sort-of” antagonist to DI Tom Thorne, the main character.
